The Chihuahua airport, airport code CUU is located about a 10 minute drive form the city. The los Mochis Ariport, airport code LMM is about 30 minutes from downtown Los Mochis. You can fly direct to either one of these airports. |
Getting to Copper Canyon by Land |

Copper Canyon is esily reached by driving to Chihuahua via Mexico highway 45 from El Paso Texas border, it is about 233 miles. The road is nice and it is 4 lanes. The drive is extremly picturesque with large pine trees surrounding both sides of the road. Just be careful if you are not driving on the federal highways, because potholes and topes (speed bumbs) are everywhere. If you do decide to drive here make sure you get Mexico Insurance.
