COPPER CANYON TRAIN SCHEDULE
The Chihuahua al Pacifico Railroad is a major rail line in northwest Mexico, linking the city of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, to the town of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, near the Pacific coast. It runs 650 km (400 miles), traversing the Copper Canyon, a beautiful and rugged series of canyons that have led some to call this the most scenic railroad trip on the continent. It is both an important transportation system for locals and a draw for tourists. The tracks pass over 37 bridges and through 86 tunnels, rising as high as 2,400 meters above sea level near Divisadero, a popular lookout spot over the canyons. Each one-way trip takes roughly 16 hours. Undoubtedly, the most dramatic part of the Copper Canyon train ride is the southern or western end of the line between El Fuerte and Divisadero. The elevation change on this portion of the rail line is 7,000 feet, from close to sea level and semi-tropical, semi deciduous forest, to oak and pine conifer forest in the mountains.

First class - Leaves from the Chihuahua station to the Mochis station and vice versa at 6:00 a.m. local hour. The arrival time to each one of the destinations is approximately at 10:00 p.m. The train stops in the main tourist points: Cuauhtemoc, Creel, Divisadero, Posada Barrancas, Bahuichivo/Cerocahui, in the state of Chihuahua; and Temoris, el Fuerte and Los Mochis in the state of Sinaloa. Each train combines a dinner car and four passenger cars with 68 comfortable seats, and ecological system bathrooms. Each car is assisted by a porter.

Second Class - Leaves from the Chihuahua station to the Mochis station and vice versa at 7:00 a.m. local hour. The cars are provided with reclining seats, heat, conditioned air, snack machines and ecological system bathrooms. Each car is assisted by a porter.
